Den Outings

Our Pack does have a lot of adventures together, however dens have a lot of their own outings. Each den/rank has a set of requirements to meet and this can include fun outings to museums, local communities, community services and learning alot about history, art, science and much more through hands on activities!

Community Service Projects

Our Cubs perform a number of community service projects as a pack and as individual dens. This can include helping veterans replace flowers/flags at graves, planting public gardens, raising money for heating oil, food drives and much more...

The Great Outdoors!

Our cubs go on Pack and den hikes through the great outdoors. Through our scout handbooks, we learn about preparing for hikes, camping, water safety and much more. In addition, we learn about maps, compasses, weather and how to identify different animals and plants. Above all, we learn the core values of "Leave No Trace".

Fundraisers

throughout the year our cubs will hold different types of fundraisers. These fundraisers are great for children to build confidence and learn how to promote our pack and our services while raising money for their organization.

Council & District Activities!

Cubs are invited to a large variety of fun activities sponsored or promoted by the council or district. This can include Cub Blizzard, sports events, monster trucks, camp, mud run and much more!

Our Adventures!

Prospect Land Trust

Our scouts did a 1.5-mile hike with the Prospect Land Trust. We saw water reserves, bird species, studied the differences between plants, and viewed the world through a telescope. The cubs also helped to install two new viewing bird houses.

Rockets!

Each year after our annual camp out on the green, our cubs set off their rockets hundreds to thousands of feet into the air! Each rocket is built by each cub prior. This past year we coupled it with a great family picnic, kick ball and playground fun!

Annual Bowling for Food

Each year our cubs plan a food drive which collects hundreds of pounds of food to donate to our local food banks. In return, our cubs celebrate with a great duck pin bowling adventure!

Animal Contact!

One of the best parts of being a cub is getting close with creatures both wild and exotic. Our up close animal adventures teach children to learn and understand animals they don't see every day. These animals can include scorpions, horses, chickens, pigs, snakes, spiders, and crustation.

Pinewood Derby

Our most prized and sought after adventure includes our incredible Pinewood Derby. Children build and customize their very own wooden cars based on national specs and compete in regional and district wide racing on a computerized racing track! We celebrate with trophies and prices. In addition, we bolster a large raffle fundraiser featuring donated gifts from local businesses and families.

Camping

Our Cubs will find adventure in our great camping adventures. Our Pack camps overnight on the green as an introductory to younger cubs and older cubs go on over night camping adventures to local state parks and scouting campgrounds. In addition, we have a great overnight trip to local museums and adventurous locations (Battle Ship Cove, The Boston Science Museum, etc) which include a large variety of hands-on activities!
